We would love your help!]]>Tue, 05 Jan 2010 22:17:11 -0800http://www.servapalooza.net/1/post/2010/01/pre-register-for-servapalooza-the-palooza-parade.htmlHappy New Year!  Make it your New Year's Resolution to register and participate in Servapalooza 2010.   The time is now and pre-registration is officially open.  Simply click on "Pre-register for Servapalooza" under "Get Involved".  The on-line form is simple and fast.  You can register as an individual, your family, or your group/school.  Youth groups and schools can also register for the Palooza Parade when you pre-register.]]>Tue, 06 Oct 2009 23:27:20 -0800http://www.servapalooza.net/1/post/2009/10/save-the-date-for-servapalooza-2010.htmlExcel Youth Zone in partnership with Kids Korps USA will host Servapalooza, our annual festival and service-thon in honor of Global Youth Service Day on Sunday April 25, 2010 from noon to 4:00 p.m. in San Diego's Balboa Park at Presidents Way and Park Blvd.
The objectives of Servapalooza are:
 ü  Celebrate youth as resources and leaders in our community,
ü  Provide youth with opportunities to serve both on the day of the event and throughout the year, and
ü  Raise funds to support the many ongoing efforts of youth to enrich lives throughout San Diego County.
 
Servapalooza will feature approximately 50 hands-on Service Stations where youth and families can participate in meaningful service projects.  The Service Stations, each run by a different nonprofit organization, are organized into four areas of service:  Environment and Animal Support; Health and Human Services; Hunger and Homelessness; and Youth, Education and Arts.  Participants in the service-thon can raise funds by pledging to do at least 10 service projects to benefit our community.

The festival will also include a Parade of Wishes celebrating accomplishments of youth in our community, a center stage featuring a wide range of talented youth performers, ample food and beverage booths, and vendors serving a variety of youth and family needs.
